Welcome to SFWildlife

The diverse natural beauty of Northern California doesn't limit itself to our national parks or remote areas. Even our cities are home to a surprising variety of species. San Francisco-based wildlife photographer Jouko van der Kruijssen captures these species as they roam the urban habitats they share with us every day.

Visit the photo galleries on this site to discover the stunning beauty and hidden lives of our wild neighbors in the City, the Bay Area and beyond.

Be sure to follow SF Wildlife on Facebook and Instagram to see what our local wildlife is up to and to be the first to learn about upcoming exhibits, talks and sales!

Limited Edition Prints

SF Wildlife's exhibit at San Francisco's Main Library was a great success! Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show and for your kind feedback. The show is now sadly over, but there is some good news! You can  now own some of the vibrant fine art prints that were featured in the exhibit.

There is only one of each, so check out the store quickly to see if your favorite mounted print is still available.
